The World
Famous Opera Tenor Tito Merilli has come to perform
Otello at the Cleveland Grand Opera Company. Arriving
at his hotel suite, Merilli accidentally takes a double
dose of tranquilizers … enough that he passes out so
deeply every one thinks he’s dead.
Saunders, the General Manager of the Opera Company, is
inundated with the need to meet the voracious tenor.
When he discovers that the star is missing, indisposed,
unconscious or maybe even dead - the plot thickens.
Lend me a Tenor goes past the obvious and lands smack
dab into the hilarious. Throw in a substitute Otello, a
couple of scantily clad young ladies, a daffy bellhop
and you have a hilarious series of mishaps, slapstick
comedy, and total chaos that will leave you in stitches!
